Commuter Services of North Florida is a Tallahassee-based commuter assistance program. Their mission is to improve mobility for work and student commuters through the use of transportation demand management strategies such as carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, biking, walking, telework, and flexible work scheduling.
This non-profit organization needed a complete online retrofit. Their website now features an attractive homepage complete with a rotating image banner that highlights its current initiatives. The pages for its two primary focus areas—Commuter Services and Employer Services—each have custom-built landing pages designed to powerfully introduce these resources.
Commuter Services also needed to establish a social media presence. A Facebook page, Twitter account, and YouTube account were created to attract interest in the program and keep its constituents abreast of new updates. As each of these social networks changed their format and feature set the strategy for how to display content adapted to best meet the needs of the program.
Additionally, a MailChimp-powered email newsletter was created to reach those already using the services offered by Commuter Services. This email newsletter was the primary mechanism used to promote an online giveaway campaign powered by Rafflecopter. This giveaway resulted in a dramatic increase in the number of people connected to Commuter Services via social media.
Important note: Andrew Ledwith created this website and its social media presence as an employee of The Marketing Institute at Florida State University. Neither The Marketing Institute nor Florida State University have ever been clients of Ledwith Web Solutions.
